Market Remains Consistent

The Burlingame neighborhood of Burlingame Village typically averages one sale every two months. There are not a lot of sales due to the fact there are not a lot of homes in this small neighborhood (and therefore not a lot of listings). In 2012, there have been 4 homes listed and 4 homes have sold.

Homes that come onto the market and are reasonably priced sell quickly. All of the four homes that have sold this year did so in less than 40 days, and the two most recent homes were sold in 17 and 12 days, respectively. With the available homes getting snapped up quickly, inventory is normally very low. At the end of May 2012, there were no unsold homes in Burlingame Village.

Burlingame Village is too small of a neighborhood to track price trends. However, one thing to note is that the relatively low average and median selling prices (low for Burlingame at least), are due to the smaller homes sold in the neighborhood. Most homes are under 2,000 square feet. Average price per square feet are in the same range as Burlingame overall (around $600 per square feet).
