Can't Miss Spring Activities in San Francisco
Okay folks, I've asked my friend Rachel over at Bluebelle Concierge to share with you some of the cool activities happening in the city this spring and summer - so head on up!
Bluebelle Concierge’s San Francisco Must Do List for Spring
Springtime has arrived and with that comes many must-do activities and events for the family! Oftentimes, there is so much happening across the Bay Area that it’s difficult to know what’s worth doing and what to pass up. At Bluebelle, we’ve gone out and done the research for you. We’ve spent the past few weeks trying out many of these events and talking to local experts to come up with this selective list just for you.
1. Who said tours were only for tourists? Avital Tours give you an inside peek into the famous food & beverages of San Francisco’s most interesting neighborhoods! Avital and her guides are one-of-a-kind and these tours cannot be missed!
Tours going on now: Mission District Food Tour, and our 21+ favorites: North Beach Food Tour & Union Square Cocktail Tour
[Side note from Raziel: Avital Tours is run by my sister, and they're incredible!]
This is not for everyone but this is a fascinating tour for those interested in a spooky and historical night out. I did this tour as a girl scout 20 years ago and still remember it! Get a closer glimpse into the Alcatraz experience with special programs only available on this tour. The highlight of this tour is watching the sunset and breathtaking views of San Francisco from the island.
3. Disney Then and Now Disney and Pixar 101
If you’ve never visited The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco this is a must! The museum is a hidden gem with beautiful bay views and is now launching a new series that you and your teens can appreciate! This is the first in a new series featuring Pixar producer Jonas Rivera and Disney historian Don Peri who will present the stories of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios and their interconnection with The Walt Disney Company.
Experience an eclectic mix of delicious food from around the world at this outdoor and pet-friendly family event! Of all of San Francisco’s food truck parks, this one stands out as a more intimate setting and culinary delight!
5. Amazing Urban Scavenger Hunt in San Francisco
This part-game and part-city tour is a great way to experience San Francisco in a whole new way! We highly suggest this activity for families and groups of friends to discover and explore things you never knew about the city by the bay.
An old favorite, but now new and improved! The new Exploratorium located at Pier 15 on the Embarcadero is better than ever with nine-acres of exploring to do along with 150 new exhibits. We suggest starting at the Ferry Building for lunch and then taking a 10-minute walk over while enjoying the view!
7. Inner Sunset Fourth Fridays
Bring the whole family or a date to this evening of specials, art exhibits, refreshments, and more from local businesses every fourth Friday of the month, from 6-9pm. This event gives you a chance to explore San Francisco and the arts on a lovely evening out.
