Lighthouse

If Dad has ever dreamed of running away to the tropics, treat him to a trip to Forbes Island this Father's Day. Take Dad up the spiral staircase of the 40 foot lighthouse for the amazing views. The lighthouse is the only privately built lighthouse in the US.) Enjoy a total island experience, right down to the 35 foot tall palm trees and white sand patios. You’ll feel as if you’re in a tropical paradise right in the heart of San Francisco Bay. Stop in for an “island themed” cocktail to the sights and sounds of hundreds of sea lions, and see the underwater bar, kitchen, wine cellar, beautifully decorated rooms and antiques that are right out of a fantasy. Finally, dine by a giant fireplace next to underwater portholes at one of several tables beneath the water’s surface. A complimentary private shuttle boat, the only way to get to the island, runs continuously from” Doc (left of Pier 39) after 5 pm.

Call 415-851-4900 or click here for reservations.

Where: Sea Lion Harbor, H Dock between Piers 39 & 41, San Francisco
