Get yourself in the holiday spirit by bringing your family to the Chanukah Family Dinner at Peninsula Temple Sholom (December 16th at 5:45 PM). Everyone, especially newcomers, is welcome.

Come to Union Square in San Francisco on the first night of Hanukkah (Tuesday, December 20) for the 37th lighting of the Bill Graham Menorah. This year there will be a skating party in Union Square at 4 PM with donuts, latkes and more. There are also lighting ceremonies each night of Hanukkah (click here for the schedule).

For a unique Hanukkah dinner, Old World Food Truck’s pop-up tasting and party at La Victoria Bakery & Café in San Francisco might be just what you’re looking for. Two nights are available, December 20th and 21st, and there will be an early and late seating both nights. They’ll be serving a special Hanukkah themed five-course feast from latkes to matzoh balls and everything in between (vegetarian options available). *Early seating is family friendly with reduced prices for little ones. Don’t miss Latkepalooza! in Foster City at the Peninsula Jewish Community Center on December 18th. This community-wide Hanukkah celebration features live music, crafts and games for children and families. There is also a Hanukkah gift shop as well as wine and olive oil tastings. Finish off the afternoon with a community sing-a-long. The event starts at 1 PM. Click here for the full schedule.

Come back to Union Square on December 25th at 3 PM for the Bill Graham Menorah Day Festival, a full day festival featuring arts and crafts, a dreidel house and Jewish music, topped off by the lighting of the 25-foot tall mahogany menorah.
