Paint Burlingame is one of Burlingame’s most popular artistic events of the year. Dozens of painters of all ages meet at the Burlingame train station off Burlingame Avenue for a day of painting their favorite images of the town. The Burlingame Pet Parade is one of the largest pet parades anywhere! It takes place every September on Broadway, and is one of Burlingame’s biggest free events of the year. The Pet Parade is sponsored by the Broadway Merchants Association, the Peninsula Humane Society, and the Daily Journal, with huge participation from the Burlingame Mothers’ Club, Burlingame High School Band, the Los Trancos Woods Community Marching Bank, Burlingame Show Choir, and the San Mateo Elks Concert Band.
One thing I love about Burlingame is there is so much packed into our small little town. Where else can you find a quaint branch of your library right in the heart of a neighborhood (in this case, the Easton Addition) that is a hub for the community?
