Utilities in San Mateo County
A quick word on internet service - the most common local providers are Comcast, AT&T U-Verse, and my personal favorite, Sonic Fiber. Sonic Fiber is not all in all neighborhoods on the peninsula just yet - they're still stringing the wire! $50 a month for blazing fast Gigabit speeds (If you can't get Sonic fiber, Sonic also offer decently high speeds over AT&T's older DSL lines but I don't think that's as good as Comcast's fiber). Comcast fiber is also equally quick though is $70 a month for the first year and $90 after that.
