The Burlingame Garden Show is one of best kept secrets in Burlingame. The show is hosted at the home of Burlingame resident John Ward on Willborough Road, in the heart of the Burlingame Terrace neighborhood. John graciously opens his home once a year to the public and shares his magical space with the community. His plants are certainly among the most well cared for in the Bay Area, which is no surprise given that some weeks he spends up to 25 hours working in his labor of love. There's an incredible variety of flowers and plants throughout his immaculately kept gardens. One of the things that blew me away was how much John's garden felt like an oasis - just something you simply wouldn't expect in the middle of a residential neighborhood, and something that once you experience it, you're so appreciative of what he's created.
