Positive Sales Stats for San Mateo County just released
Check out these stats below -- all positive signs in a market that was never hit that hard to begin with compared to a vast majority of the country.
"The median home price for a single family home in San Mateo County increased from $725,000 in April to $825,000 in May 2011, a 13% increase, according to sales statistics supplied by MLS. In comparison, the median price of a home was $750,000 in May 2010, a 10% increase year over year. The median County price has continued to increase month over month since January. The price has jumped 40% from $587,500 in January 2011". -- From SAMCAR's July 2011 newsletter
With such an increase in median home prices across the peninsula, I think again to why -- we have an incredible community, a high quality of life, robust job growth, incredible weather, and a rich culture that continues to draw homebuyers to the peninsula, from Burlingame and Hillsborough, to San Carlos and Redwood City.
