The Burlingame Pet Parade is one of the largest pet parades anywhere! It takes place every September on Broadway, and is one of Burlingame's biggest free events of the year. The Pet Parade is sponsored by the Broadway Merchants Association, the Peninsula Humane Society, and the Daily Journal, with huge participation from theBurlingame Mothers' Club, Burlingame High School Band, the Los Trancos Woods Community Marching Bank, Burlingame Show Choir, and the San Mateo Elks Concert Band.
In this video, you'll hear from Ross Bruce (the unofficial "mayor" of Broadway), Jacquie Cooke Haggarty (Burlingame Mothers' Club President), Tim Graczewski (Burlingame resident, pet lover, and U.S. service member), Terry Nagel (the real Mayor of Burlingame, and Pet Parade co-founder), and Brian Probst (Volunteer Services Coordinator, Peninsula Humane Society). And, special thanks to Stephen Hamilton for doing a wonderful job as MC of the pet trick competition!
