 If you’ve ever watched Dancing with the Stars, you might be inspired to get out your dancing shoes and your sequins and hit the dance floor.  Imperial Dance Club in Redwood City has a 2700 square foot Main Ballroom and more than 700 square feet in their second Ballroom, so there is plenty of room for everyone. Whether you already know how to dance or are a beginner, there is a program that is just right for you.

You don’t need experience to take an American Style Ballroom group class on Thursday nights; you don’t even need a partner. The classes are small and you’ll get lots of individual attention. It’s a great way to meet new people and learn to dance at the same time.

International Style Ballroom classes for beginners are on Friday evenings, and there is a dance party every week after classes. The parties are free for students, but even if you don’t take a class, come on out to the Friday Night Dance Party for just $6 per person.

On Wednesday nights, the Ballroom is open for practice sessions. With a little practice and a lot of fun you can be dancing by New Year’s Eve! It's located at 822 Cassia Street in Redwood City.

The Boogie Woogie Ballroom Dance School & Studio in Foster City also offers beginner Group Classes on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Learn the six most popular ballroom dances with a flexible schedule designed to fit your lifestyle.  Take as long as you need to learn the dances.  Classes are small, so you’ll get as much attention as you need.  If you’re not ready to commit to a program, try the drop-in lessons before the weekend dance parties to get a feel for the ballroom. Come to the practice dances Monday through Thursday or try the special monthly parties for specific dance styles.
