Hillsborough Tops Forbes List of Most Expensive Zip Codes

Forbes just published an article about the most expensive zip codes in the United States. Not surprisingly, Hillsborough came in 4th on the list, right after Alpine, NJ, Atherton (just 15 miles south of Hillsborough), and Sagaponack, NY. Beverly Hills came in fifth, and was the only one in the top 8 on the list to suffer a decrease in median home price by nearly 6%. Hillsborough saw an 18.7% increase in median prices, which is down right impressive in this market. Nearby Burlingame and San Mateo have certainly benefited from the increase in well heeled buyers as well; Burlingame was 144 on the list with a median price of $1,224,444 and an 18.2% increase in median price (followed by Naples, FL, and Calabasas, CA). Palo Alto also made the list at 137.
