Rise Against Hunger Impact Volunteering Event | March 4th | Burlingame Community Center
On Saturday morning, March 4th, I hope you (and your family!) can join me and my team for a two-hour event at the Burlingame Community Center to help pack 10,000 fortified, dehydrated, shelf-stable meals that will be transported to areas with food insecurity.
This year I’m looking forward to continuing our involvement in the community and I’ve been wanting to organize a volunteer event that would involve our clients and friends and their children. I recently learned about Rise Against Hunger, which is a growing global movement to end hunger by nourishing and empowering communities. Almost 2.3 billion people around the world (or 30% of our global population) live with food insecurity.
If you are free, I hope you can bring your whole family to this fantastic and impactful volunteer activity - kids over the age of four can participate! I’ve rented a beautiful room at the new Community Center in Burlingame.
