Bucket List for 2011 - Unleash Your Inner Actor
Haven’t we all watched some movie or TV show and thought that we could have done a better job? Why not take a giant leap and show 'em what you've got?
Acting Out & About, the Burlingame Community Theatre, is a part of Burlingame’s Parks & Recreation Department, and they offer classes for everyone from teenagers to seniors (ages 14-83). Classes include improvisation, voiceovers, commercials and characterization, and they perform old time radio dramas, one-act plays, mystery theatre, melodramas, Halloween shows and original plays.
There is also a singing group of adult Christmas Carolers who are performing on December 9th at 6 PM on Broadway/Burlingame.
In the New Year they will be offering a TV commercials class, starting at the end of January, the 4th annual "Burlingame Idol" in March and the one-act "Bad Auditions for Bad Actors" in the summer. Classes will be listed in the Burlingame Parks & Recreation Department's brochure, which will be coming out in January.
For information on how you can release your inner actor prospective students and performers should just contact the Parks & Rec. at 650-558-7307 or contact Cathy Foxhaven at [email protected].
