Sailing on the Peninsula with Spinnaker Sailing

There is nothing quite like the feeling of being one with the forces of nature.  Sailing allows you to control your fate as you become master of your own destiny.  Sailing can also take you to a tranquil place; it’s the perfect antidote for the demands of modern society.

Spinnaker Sailing is an American Sailing Association affiliate, with courses designed for various levels of achievement.  Successful completion of the courses will qualify you to operate boats and equipment.  There are even classes for kids, so the entire family can experience the joy of sailing together. When I was a kid growing up in Burlingame, my parents sent me to summer camp at Spinnaker Sailing and I loved it!

Whether you are interested in local yacht racing, worldwide sailing vacations or just want to get away for the day, Spinnaker Sailing School is ready to help you achieve your goals.  They’ve been sharing their love of sailing since 1980, and their staff of dedicated professionals will make learning to sail safe and enjoyable.

Wear comfortable clothes, but this is Northern California, so remember your layers.  It is a good idea to bring a waterproof or water repellant jacket, and wear rubber soled, non-marking shoes.  A hat and sunglasses are recommended, and don’t forget the sunscreen and a bottle of water.
