We've been working on building our new home in Burlingame, and are in the final stage of all the rough work - rough electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, HRV system, and AV work. If you're thinking about building a new home, doing a significant remodel, or just curious about what's involved, feel free to reach out. This is our second project and we've learned a ton.
Miguel Do Rego is the manager of Espetus Steakhouse in San Mateo and has now launched his new pick up and delivery business. For $60, Miguel stopped by our house and picked up our block of knives and sharpened them, returning the next morning. Fantastic service. To reach Miguel, text him at 415-504-5662. The San Mateo Daily Journal
The San Mateo Daily Journal is our only local newspaper on the peninsula. They need our help to stay viable - for $69 a year you can access an online subscription, and for $99, they have an ad free version. I've been a paid subscriber for a few months and it's been great seeing what's going on locally, and I like the daily morning email with a summary of their local content. Why aren't home prices dropping?
I enjoyed reading Curb's article entitled The economy is tanking. So why aren’t home prices dropping? From the content: "...But anyone hoping a silver lining to the economic chaos would be deals in the housing market have thus far been disappointed; for the week ending May 9, the median listing price in the United States was up 1.4 percent year-over-year, according to Realtor.com. Existing home sales in April fell by almost 18 percent, but prices rose 7.4 percent compared to a year ago."
