Winter is almost here, and even though we live in California, we can experience the feeling of flying (while staying safely and comfortably on the ground) at Belmont Iceland.  Located about 9 miles from downtown Burlingame, Belmont Iceland has a lot of family fun events scheduled for the holiday season.

On December 3rd at 8 PM, the annual winter ice show extravaganza, Motown Christmas on Ice kicks off the season with performances by local skaters from adorable tots to accomplished competitive skaters.  For more information or to reserve a table, contact Ben Blandford at skatingdirector@belmonticeland.com.  Bring a non-perishable food item to donate and you will automatically be entered in a drawing for some great prizes.

There are some great programs to entertain your kids over the winter school break.  Santa’s Skateshop and Frosty’s Fun Factory are 3-day camps offering lessons, skating, practice time and crafts.  Both programs run both before and after Christmas.  For more information, click here.

Click on the Calendar link on Belmont Iceland’s website for the full schedule so that you can pick the best time to hit the ice.

Come to the Friday evening public session from 5:30 – 8:30 pm and skate for $5, skates included.   A valid student ID gets a free skate rental for the Saturday night public session.
