The 33rd Annual Great Dickens Christmas Fair and Holiday Party at the Cow Palace
Visit the The Cow Palace in Daly City any weekend through December 18th and be transported to Victorian London! At the Great Dickens Christmas Fair & Holiday Party you’ll feel as if you’re a part of “A Christmas Carol” as you stroll through the lanes. The sounds of carolers and the scent of pine boughs and freshly baked scones fill the air, and the shops will be decked out in all their Christmas finery. There's more than 120,000 square feet of music halls, pubs, dance parties and Christmas shops on winding lanes and the city is filled with lively and colorful characters from literature and history.
Gourmet chefs will offer delicious foods from around the world, and five pubs offer Craft Ales from local breweries, plus fine wines and champagne are available by the glass. There will also be plenty of entertainment spread out on six stages and throughout the make believe streets. You might meet Scrooge and Marley, Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim or Oliver and Fagin as you stroll around the Fair. You might even meet the great Charles Dickens himself!
Drop in at Fezziwig’s Warehouse for the holiday celebrations and join the Dance Party. Bangers & Mash will play lively English dance music and the Siamsa Scottish & Irish Dancers will be there too.
See a 70 minute adaptation of Gilbert & Sullivan’s “The Mikado, or The Town of Titipu”. A classic Christmas Pantomine, “Alladin & Cinderella Meet the Monkey King”, is shown twice daily, and you will be amazed at the West End Illusion Show. At 5:00 PM the scene changes to “Dickens After Dark”, and there is more grown-up fare for the 18 and over crowd. Free tickets are available at the Telegraph Booth.

As well, in order to take advantage of everything the Dickens Fair has to offer, download the Map of London so that you are able to plan where to go in advance. If you order your tickets before December 5th you'll save $3 per Adult ticket, and if you purchase your tickets online you can print them at home, which is nice and convenient. Also, if you bring a new, unwrapped toy to Toys for Tots, you can also save $3.
